Recall Election, donate, League of Women Voters of California

Empower voters. Defend democracy. Our mission is more powerful and necessary than ever. Threats to democracy around the country, and in California, demand that we step up our work to protect voting rights, access to the ballot, and to educate voters. As California faces a statewide recall election, it is time for us to mobilize once again to engage voters around the state to use their power and vote.

Please make a generous gift today to ensure that the California League can continue to engage voters during the recall election.

  • Did you know that your $100 donation translates 800 words into Spanish on Voter’s Edge, the League’s online nonpartisan voting tool? This ensures in-language, nonpartisan voter information is available to California’s Spanish speaking residents. Voter’s Edge has over 80,000 words to be translated each election!
  • Your donation will also help us create a State Recall Election Toolkit for our local Leagues around California to use in their voter outreach efforts. This ensures they have the nonpartisan resources they need to support voters on the ground and in your neighborhoods.

Democracy needs everyone to thrive and our work to ensure ALL of California’s voters have the resources available to use their power and vote is more critical than ever. With national efforts to suppress the vote, and the rise of those efforts here at home, we must double down our work to ensure that voters know that their vote matters. We must help voters understand the mechanics of how to vote in this historic recall election. Voters need easy access to understandable information so they can cast their ballots with confidence on election day.

Your donation today helps ensure every California voter knows their voice matters and feels empowered to use that voice at the ballot box.

We envision a democracy in which every person has the right, the desire, the knowledge and the confidence to participate. Will you join us in helping to bring that vision to life in California?
