California Redistricting Assistance Sites Open For the Public

Computers with redistricting software are available for use by the general public at six sites operated by the Redistricting Group at Berkeley Law and affiliated with the Statewide Database;San Diego, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Fresno, Sacramento and Berkeley, The sites are designed to encourage public participation in the state redistricting process. The software can be used to develop map submissions or testimony for the redistricting commission. Download the addresses and opening hours of the sites.

NEW! Establish a Local Redistricting Commission in your Community

Our partners, Common Cause and McGeorge School of Law have put together an online resource for local governments interested in establishing local commissions: www.localredistricting.org. The site includes guidance on creating commissions, a database of every local redistricting ordinance passed in the state, research, and other resources. As part of the project, Common Cause has also committed to helping local organizations or jurisdictions interested in creating a commission with education, research, and drafting.
