The League joins with many allies in expressing support for moving to a Weighted Student Formula that would streamline the existing school finance system. We believe that it is possible to implement a sytem that achieves equity, transparency, and accountability for the children of California, and look forward to working with the Legislature and Governor to accomplish this important goal.

In preparation for the release of Governor Brown's budget proposal later this week, and in response to his interest in moving to a Weighted Student Formula, the League joined with allies in sending a letter to the legislative leaders expressing support for this reform.
