Interviews with California Candidates Can Help Voters Decide

Sacramento, Calif.—Voters across California now have an opportunity to learn more about the candidates whose names will appear on the November 2 ballot. Interviews of candidates for most major elected offices in the state are now being aired on The California Channel and online at www.calchannel.com

These interviews are provided to the public by Cable’s Free Airtime Project, a collaborative effort between the League of Women Voters of California, The California Channel and your local cable provider.

“The League of Women Voters of California Education Fund is proud to partner again with the California Channel on the Free Air Time Project,” said Janis R. Hirohama,

President of the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund. “This unique public service gives Californians an in-depth, up-close look at the candidates for statewide office—real information from the candidates themselves, not ads and sound-bites.  We consider Free Air Time one of the League’s most valuable tools for providing nonpartisan information to California voters in this election.”

All candidates were invited to participate in the interviews. Interviews of candidates for the following offices can be found at https://www.calchannel.com/channel/fap2010/ :
