LWV MryCo presents discussion on Tarpy’s flats, Olmstead road development, “Pro and Con”

The League of Women Voters of Monterey County will present a free talk titled: "Tarpey Flats-Pro and Con" at an in-person "Lunch and Learn" Meeting at noon on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.1101 Olmsted Road is a proposed high density development project in Monterey County. It would be located on 7 acres with 375 townhomes on the eastern side of Olmsted and 350 units of three-story multi-family housing on the western side. Of the 350, 145 would be affordable.Our speakers will be Michael DeLapa and Laura Davis of Landwatch Monterey County and Andrew Hawryluk, chair of the Olmsted Road -- Highway 68 Conservation Consortium.  The "Lunch and Learn" Meeting will be held at at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 490 Aguajito Road  Carmel CA 93923 Registration at 11:30    Lunch is at 12:00 and Program at 12:30Lunch costs $25 per person and payment is at the door by cash or check. Lunch includes grilled salmon, rice, Greek salad, hummus, pita bread and baklava for dessert.
