Presentation on Civics Education and Media Literacy
Event Date: February 12, 2025 - 12:00 pm The League of Women Voters Monterey County will present a talk on "Civics Education and Media Literacy" featuring guest speaker Dr. Daisy Martin, on Wednesday, February 12th, at 12 noon on Zoom. Dr. Martin is the Founding Director of The History and Civics Project at UC Santa Cruz. She works with K-12 teachers of History and Civics and she taught in California public high schools. She has recently helped Jefferson Union School District implement the California Civic Seal of Engagement. She led regional and state workshops on media literacy.
