The webinar will explore the interconnectedness of these elements and provide a deeper understanding of key terms and concepts related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We’re back for a second outing! It's like a pub crawl but with ice cream and boba tea. Have fun with food and drink and your League friends! We will meet at SF Gelateria at 2621 Broadway, Downtown Redwood City, and walk along Broadway, visiting two boba shops along our path to Humphrey Slocombe Ice Cream at the intersection of Jefferson Ave. No registration is required.

Thomas Holyoke, Ph.D is a professor of political science at Fresno State. His most recent book is "Water Politics: The Fragmentation of Western Water Policy".His research focuses on American interest groups and lobbying, the development of western water policy, and charter schools and education policy. Members and guest welcome, no charge - Light refreshments 

Training 2: Inclusive Language Basics and the LWC People First Language GuideTuesday, July 30, 2024 from 6:00-7:00 PMRegister using this link.Dr. Ninochka McTaggart will explain what inclusive language is and the key concepts related to this term. Additionally, there will be a walkthrough of the LWVC People First Language Guide to demonstrate how inclusive language guides can be used to implement inclusive language practices. This guide aims to standardize the terminology used by staff, volunteers, and local Leagues in both advocacy and educational work.
