The League of Women Voters of Monterey County will present a free talk titled: "Examining the Supreme Court: Local Implications of Recent Rulings" at an in-person "Lunch and Learn" meeting at noon on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. The topic is current Supreme Court cases with immediate impact on our lives and democracy. It includes a brief analysis of significant 2021-22 decisions, especially Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, and implications of the cases to be decided in 2023.Our speaker is Michelle “Mickey” Welsh, Adjunct Professor of Constitutional Law at Monterey College of Law.
