The League of Women Voters of Monterey County will present a free talk titled: "The Monterey County Grand Jury"" at its in- person Annual Meeting and  "Lunch and Learn"  at 11:15 am on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Guest Speakers, Tom M. Mastre and Maria A. Y. Garcia will discuss the workings of the Monterey County Civil Grand Jury. Responsibilities of Civil Grand Juries include examining all aspects of county government, all municipalities, and special districts, to ensure that the County is being governed honestly and efficiently and that County funds are being handled appropriately.
