NEW “Honor Veterans. Vote.” Program Allows You to Dedicate Your Vote in Honor of Military Member

Share:

Throughout our nation’s history, brave service men and women have sacrificed to protect and defend our democracy. The “Honor Veterans. Vote.” program will provide Californians a platform to dedicate their vote in honor of a family member or friend who has served in the military. Californians can submit their dedications online at the following link: http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/honor-vets-vote .

How it works:

Californians who dedicate their vote can choose to receive a certificate or lapel pin to proudly display appreciation for their honored veteran or active duty service member. Californians must provide the following information about the veteran or service member they plan to honor:

  • Name
  • Branch of Service
  • Rank
  • Hometown
  • Length of Service

Californians dedicating their vote can also:

  • Provide the veteran/service member’s email, so that they can receive a notification of the honor.
  • Honor the veteran/service member by including a dedication as to why they are voting in honor of their sacrifice.

Both active duty and veterans (retired) military can be honored. All information except mailing address and email address will be posted on the “Honor Veterans. Vote.” page of the Secretary of State’s website. Dedications may be included on the Secretary of State’s website.
