The Future of California Elections (FOCE), a collaboration between election officials, civil rights organizations and election reform advocates to examine and address the unique challenges facing the State of California's election system, is hosting a conference from February 18-19, 2015 at the Sacramento Convention Center. The conference program reflects the theme "Working Together for a More Inclusive Democracy" as it showcases the successes and innovations that have resulted from collaboration in the field of elections in California and across the country. The program also focuses on the needs of California's diverse voters and the importance of working in partnership to ensure all voters can participate in California's democracy. Finally, the program provides opportunities to learn about the best practcices for relaying voter information, inclusing a workshop to improve voter information guides that will be facilitated by Center for Civic Design and the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund.
Participants should expect to listen to dynamic panel discussions, engage with their peers in the election field, as well as meet other election stakeholders that are working toward the collective effort of modernizing elections and expanding participation in California's democracy.
